So easy to make, you'll never need to buy store-bought again. I was inspired by a recipe found in this book, during a six-month stint of following a vegan diet. Here is my recipe with a few of my own modifications from the original:


3 ripe, large avocados
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon granulated onion
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
3 dashes Tabasco (more, if you like it spicy)

Peel and pit the avocados and place them in a medium bowl.

Use a pastry cutter, or a fork, to mash them to your desired level of texture. 

Add remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly with a spoon until seasonings have been evenly distributed.
